AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS
WHEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by the
owners of record and electors of the territory hereinafter
described has heretofore been filed with the Village Clerk of
the Village of Arlington Heights; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of
Arlington Heights; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of
Arlington Heights have determined that the annexation of said
territory to the Village of Arlington Heights is in the best
interests of the Village;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND

That part of the South one-half of Section 24, Town-
ship 42 North, Range 10 , East of the Third Principal
Meridian lying Southwesterly of the right of way of
the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Company and
lying Southeasterly of a line bounded and described
as follows :
Commencing at a point in the West line of said Sec-
tion 24 that is 666.41 feet North of the Southwest
corner of said Section 24 for a place of beginning;
thence Northeasterly along a curve to the right hav-
-ing a radius of 5862 . 50 feet for a distance of 1486.91
feet to a point in the Southerly right of way line of
the Chicago and Northwestern Railway that is 1367.95
feet from the West line of said Section 24 (as measured
along said Southerly right of way line) except that
part thereof bounded and described as follows:
Commencing at the South West corner of said Section
24 ; thence North along the West line of said Section
24 for a distance ,of 666 . 41 feet to a point on a curved
line concave to the South East and having a radius of
5862. 50 feet; thence North Easterly along a straight

minutes 19 seconds with a prolongation of the last
described course fora distance of 396 . 79 feet to a
point on the last mentioned curved line distant 291. 63
feet East of measured at right angles to the West line
of said Section 24, said point being the place of be-
ginning of the land herein to be excepted; thence
North Easterly along the last mentioned curved line
for a distance of 1090. 00 feet to a point in the South-
erly right of way line of the Chicago and Northwestern
Railway that is 1367. 95 feet from the West line of said
Section 24 (as measured along said Southerly right of
way line) ; thence South Easterly along said Southerly
right of way line of the Chicago and Northwestern
Railway for a distance of 145 feet to a point; thence
South Westerly along a straight line making an angle
to the right of 125 degrees 06 minutes with a prolong-
ation of the last described course for a distance of
286 feet to a point of curvature; thence South Westerly
along a curved line concave to the South East and tan-

part hereof, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village
of Arlington Heights.
SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of
Arlington Heights is hereby directed to file in the office of
the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois , a copy of this
ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory an-
nexed.
SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval in the man-
ner provided by law.
